Frequently Asked Questions
Where does my child meet their coach?
The coach will meet your child on the training venue. Sessions take place on grass field through the summer or indoor on artificial turf or gyms on fall and winter. Our coaches wear Ignite Soccer Training shirts, yellow or blue for easy identification. Please help your child find us and meet their coach on the first day.
What should they wear / bring?
We suggest players come to practice in, or have a change of clothes for an outfit that is comfortable to run around in and can become dirty.
Do they need equipment / cleats?
No. Their coach will bring all necessary equipment, including balls. All participants should wear tennis shoes or cleats (for grass field soccer programs) if they have them. Tennis shoes or futsal shoes are always worn for indoor programs. Shin guards are not necessary.
What happens if they can't attend class?
If for any reason, your child can not attend the class, please contact us in advance by phone – 902 209 4010 or email us. Your cooperation and pro-active communication is much appreciated.
What is futsal?
Futsal is a small-sided game (5v5) played on a hard-top surface, like a basketball court or blacktop. The game originated in South America and is credited for creating many famous South American soccer players. Futsal should be played in combination with soccer to create the most well-rounded players. This is a fun, fast game and is similar to soccer. Please no cleats for this program.
What is the pick up policy?
We require parents or approved guardians to pick up their child from the program location (grass field or indoor gym) at the end of each class. If, for some reason a parent cannot be at the program location at the end of each class, please get in contact with our staff prior to the class start time.
